Procurement Strategy and Contract Selection

Setting the right form of contract and procurement strategy is one of the key stages to a successful project.

Choosing the correct procurement route and contract at the outset can reduce disputes or conflicts post contract. At Lindford Consulting, we are experienced in procurement strategy and contract selection for construction and engineering clients.

We have many years’ experience advising clients on the appropriate method of procurement. Our selection is based upon your experience and risk exposure using traditional design and build and management methods of procurement. Let us help you with contracts such as JCT SBC and NEC3 Option C contracts. We are here to make your project successful, delivered on time and on budget.

We can help you whether your project is for a mixed use development, rail programme, school academy or hospital expansion. Each project is unique and will require specific procurement and contract advice.

Areas that we can provide help with include:

  • Undertaking client risk analysis prior to procurement selection
  • Advising on the most appropriate method of procurement
  • Tendering procedures (singe, two stage etc)
  • Ensuring that tendering procedures comply with EU Legislation
  • Contract strategy and analysis based upon client risk profile
  • Contract suite and form of contract selection

Being independent, we can take an objective view on the project. Advising clients on not only which is the best procurement route; but which has the least risk associated to the project and their risk exposure. That may be through traditional contract or design and build. We will work alongside you to understand the complexities of the project and what is the right approach.

Lindford Consulting’s live project experience combined with our expert construction contract knowledge gives you the reassurance your project is set up correctly from the outset.
